Christmas Eve: My Work Christmas Do

Last Friday marked the last day of work for me this year. It also so happened to be the day of my office's Christmas party. It was the day that the Christmas spirit grabbed hold me and gave me a big ol' Christmas hug. It strutted through the doors of my office with a big smile on my face, Christmas cards in my hands and a spring in my step. The Christmas party was at lunch time so really I was at work for only 4 hours which was in itself an early Christmas present coupled with the scrumptious free  three-course meal I was about to devour at 2 pm.

I always worry about how I am meant to present myself at work as well as office shindigs. What do I talk about? Do I keep everything work related? Do I let my hair down? Will they think I'm odd? Will I get on with people? What happens if I run out of things to say? I basically work myself into a right twisted pretzel for the littlest of things. But last Friday, due to the bear hug the good ol' Christmas spirit gave me, I felt right at ease and was able to enjoy myself wholeheartedly. The food was yummy(!!) and the colleagues I was sat with were absolutely hilarious. I swear I almost lost my voice from laughing so hard.

I really do not like getting out of my comfort zone but sometimes, no matter how trivial the situation may be, it can be worth it. Hope you are having a great Christmas Eve guys!!

Till next time!

Luv, Mo xx
