MOVIE MONDAYS: REMEMBER SUNDAY

I love a good Hallmark movie. Especially when I am just having one of those days where my mind is overloaded with thoughts and I just want to escape to a place filled with hopes, dreams and the right amount of sentimentality that has a way of reigniting your own. That is what this movie was for me. Yesterday I was  battling with myself regarding the choices I have made, the ones I'm making and the plethora of ones I have to- for lack of a better word- choose from in the future. I play this exhausting game almost everyday but yesterday it kind of wiped me out. So, I did what any sane person would do in such a situation- I armed myself with good food (fajitas), a cuppa (lemon & ginger tea is da ish!), my comfy bed (with freshly washed bedding) and a film: Remember Sunday

I found this little gem on Netflix and was intrigued by it because I saw it had Alexis Bledel (Gilmore GirlsSisterhood of The Travelling PantsMad Men) in it. Have you ever watched the entire 7 seasons of Gilmore Girls? Ever watched all 7 seasons at least 3 times? No? Well I have. So, I just knew I'd love this film. And love it I do.

Do not be fooled into this think that is a run of the mill cheesy chick flick by the look of the poster. It may not be a big budget movie but it is one that will have you realising that at the end of the day love is a choice and you can't be oblivious to all the baggage that comes with it if you want your chance to be with that special someone to last.

Remember Sunday is about how a guy called Gus, played by Zachary Levi (Less Than PerfectChuck; Tangled), lives a very routine-based life that helps him get through one day to the next, due to an unfortunate event that causes him to try his best to cherish every aspect of each day, that suddenly gets a bit of spontaneity zapped into it when his path crosses that of Molly- a girl who has big dreams and an even bigger heart- who was played Alexis Bledel. Directed by Jeff Bleckner (HawthornePrivate PractiseCastle) and the teleplay written by Barry Morrow (Rain ManRace the Sun), this film will remind you not to settle for anything less than what you deserve.

In my ever so humble opinion, the cast for this movie was put together perfectly. Each actor really owned and suited their roles making the film all the more captivating and believable. It really was a joy to watch. But if you are anything like me make sure you some tissue nearby when you watch it... If you watch it...hehe.

And for all those IMDb lovers out there, this film is rated a 7.1 ;-)
