the best month has arrived (!) but you already knew that UNLESS you live in a place with an impressive time difference and you’re still waiting to be welcomed by it. anyway, hi. hello. remember me? it’s ok if you don't because a lot has changed and now’s a good a time as any for us to get reacquainted. if you want to that is. it’s ok if you don’t, i’ll still be over here chatting away…

today is WML’s birthday which means we’ve occupied this piece of the internet for the last nine years… is that right?? just checked and it has indeed been that long. wow. ok, so at least we’ve got a major milestone coming up that we can plan for. i feel like all i do is make plans and then rarely act on them and when i do it causes such a cataclysmic shift in energy, my whole world becomes a stranger. a bit like now.

let’s catch up shall we?

i wrote my first article in a while for TOMES about Nigeria’s Independence day and the impact of #EndSARS a year on. actually finishing it felt so good because it had been a really long time since i flexed that muscle so i am a bit rusty but that’s ok. i’m getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. i’m prepping for my first-ever talk at a conference which will be on the 21 oct which is mad soon; i feel a little sick thinking about that actually but thankfully i’ll be doing it with a colleague which is great.

what else can i tell you?

oh! all i’m listening to at the moment is anything by tems, tiwa savage and chole x halle. and the books i’m currently want to attempt to read are the ones pictured above. i could go on but i want to stop here for now.

see you soon?
