SPOTLIGHT: THE HILLYWOOD SHOW® || YT VOL. 1

This is a little different from my On the Edge series in the sense that I will be talking about individuals and things I have found, be it filmmakers, articles, restaurants, writers, places, Youtubers, podcasts - you name it! - that I love and feel the need to share with you all. To start this series off with a bang I want to bring to your attention a Youtube channel that has just blown me away and I'm sure their future videos will always have me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. Today, I bring you The Hillywood Show®.

My good friend Luigi shared a particular The Hillywood Show® video with me a few weeks ago knowing I'd love it to the moon and back. And she was not wrong... as usual. The short film put such a whopping big smile on my face, I was in a good mood for the rest of the week. And I have since begun all my weekends watching that video because it is just so epic, it will be criminal not to. I made it my mission to find out everything I could about the creators and was so glad to find they had made a load more videos and had just released a Behind the Scenes video for the short film that brought me so much joy. So what was the video? Who are the creators?

Well, let's start off with who the creators are. The lovely ladies behind The Hillywood Show® are sisters, Hannah and Hilly Hindi who reside in Vegas, US. Their eye for detail, funny yet wicked smart lyrics and love for the films and TV shows they make parodies about is bound to make you to watch the rest of their playlist. It is amazing to see how much they have grown as filmmakers knowing that they are self-taught. They have definitely inspired me to continue pursuing my dream to understand shed loads more about how films, TV shows and theatre productions are made. What I would give to be able to interview them and maybe even work on one of their projects.

And as for the video? Well I will definitely be talking at length about it later but for now feast your eyes on this gem of a film. It is so well done that it is hard not to at least commend them for their efforts even if it is not your thing. And while your at it see their take on The Hunger GamesThe HobbitDoctor Who and then check out all their other stuff. Having watched all their recent live streams - obviously not as its streaming lives as me no know how to stay awake until 3 am - I can only hope to see more of their work as time goes on be it when The Hillywood Show®  becomes an actual TV show or when they work on other projects not affiliated with their YT channel. All I know is, these ladies are one to keep an eye on.
